Hi, I’m Carmen Schäfer,
alias Loli Bäh (just when illustrating :) ), german by birth but heart-rooted in the north of Spain.
In my early years I was trained into becoming a fashion designer in Barcelona, the city where I also took my first professional steps as a designer for Nike, Ailanto and Elisa Amann.
Later on, in Madrid, I entered LOEWE, as a member of the women’s collection design team, leaded by Jose Enrique Oña Selfa as the Artistic Director, before launching my own label.
Having the ownership of the brand allowed me to sell my very own and unique women’s collections, designing costumes and sceneries and also conduct General Coordination for events such as NUDAGE ‘11 and several editions of the MUESTRA NACIONAL de Jóvenes Diseñadores de Moda, both hosted and sponsored by the Government of Cantabria, in Spain.
GENERAL COORDINATION is about strictly strategic work behind the scenes: coordinating people on and behind the stage (before and during the event), planning technical resourses such as light and music and organizing stage setup; a type of job that against all odds I really enjoy!!
So, being aware of my weakness for strategy, always and in any situation searching for a pattern to be defined, nearly 3 years ago I found out about UX Design, and as I have a natural strength for solving problems, I realised that this is my place..
Once finished my studies in UX I started working remotely, and as an intern at a startup, LOCAVERSE (based in Viena), what has formed me as a decisive designer in this field.
Now I need to take the next step, so I am currently looking for a job as a UX/UI Designer, looking forward to work with diverse teams from all over the world!
